The key to success in my book is to be in alignment with God. I’ve said this before and I’m saying it again.
When you are aligned with Him, things turn out right in your life, you know what to do because you are divinely led, you make the right moves, turn at the right corner, choose the right things instinctively and speak the right things naturally, all because you are one with God. Jesus proclaimed in John 10:30, “I and the Father are One”.
He meant that He was in complete unison with God and was never out of alignment and knew it consciously. Believers are aware of the presence of God because He is our Creator, however, we don’t deliberately live in that knowing all the time. We forget that He is with us the minute we finish praying and walk out of the door.
We focus on the things we need to accomplish for the day; seeing the children off to school, completing a project at work, a meeting we need to attend, helping the children with homework later on, preparing dinner for the family and so forth. On the other hand, we worry all day long about whether everything would be completed on time.
All of this separates us mentally from God as there’s no room for Him in our minds. Every other thing occupies our thinking except Him. Oneness with God turns things around in the universe because with Him, “all things are possible”, as Jesus advised in Matthew 19:26.
Wise people are those who maintain a close relationship with God throughout the day, no matter what they are doing. Nothing shakes them nor disturb their peace.
When a sudden catastrophe hits the workplace or a huge announcement is made that could affect their job security, they remain calm, knowing that God is Jehovah Jireh, the One who provides (Genesis 22:14). They sing like David in Psalm 23:1, proclaiming, “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want”. They have reached the state of oneness.
We can be like Jesus and never be alarmed by anything that materialises in life. His positioning enabled Him to predict His own death which a few of us can do. He said to Nathanael in John 1:48, “I saw you while you were still under the fig tree before Philip called you”. His spiritual eye was always active because He was One with God.
Those who invest in their relationship with God experience greatness in their lives and miracles becomes a common occurrence. Jesus said to His disciples, “Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father” (John 14:12). This state of oneness is what turns dust into gold.
Jesus states further in Luke 10:19, “I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you”, and also in verse 23, “For I tell you that many prophets and kings wanted to see but did not see it, and to hear what you hear but did not hear it”.
The disciples were just as ordinary as we are but fellowshipped with Jesus every day. The same power is also available to us by virtue of being children of God and that’s what Jesus taught.
He remarked as follows to the Jewish opponents in John 10:34, “Is it not written in your Law, ‘I have said you are “gods”? This revelation has to sink into our subconscious mind for it to take effect in our lives and we need to be in tune with it always.
Jesus knew that He was God and acted from that premise. He declares in John 14:11, “Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me; or at least believe in the evidence of the works themselves”.
Oneness solidifies our relationship with God, we are in fact, home when we merge with Him, we are ‘gods’. You live in a state of heaven while on earth because you are conscious of the power that you have, which has been granted by God Himself, thus making you a ‘god’ and to create like He does. The joy that you feel when you are one with God is indescribable.
Realise your position in Him that you may act from it thus manifesting the life you’ve always want to live. It is that easy, when we fully grasp and live it.
